Continuing Education

Are you a Licensed Massage Therapist looking for continuing education?

We offer classes in prenatal and postnatal massage for your CEU requirements.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002, Erin has advanced training and experience with pregnant and postpartum populations. She has created a curriculum that is comprehensive, evidence-based and interactive.  The curriculum offers opportunities to explore the practical and theoretical side of a specialized massage protocol for this particular population as well as participate in hands-on draping, positioning and sequence of a massage routine

The Facts and Financials

-Introducing theory and practical hands on learning for prenatal and postnatal massage.
-Solidifying the knowledge base in order to build confidence in the therapist’s skill set.
-Educating on safe positioning, and a quality routine that will benefit the client and have them returning over and over throughout their current pregnancy and subsequent pregnancies.

Payments are refundable if the student cancels within 3 days of registering for the course. A 10% processing fee is applicable for all refunds and will be deducted from the total amount refunded.

If the instructor cancels a class due to unforeseen circumstances, including an “act of God” or extreme weather occurrence (hurricane, flooding, other act of nature) all tuition paid will be refunded in full.

Classes must meet the minimum number of 3 attendees in order to take place.

Should a training be cancelled by the instructor, the students will be notified 2 weeks prior to the event. Any deposits may be refunded or transferred to a future session. Balance of payments will also be transferred or refunded.

No Shows:
Should a student not attend the class, they will forfeit the full amount. Balance of payments will not be transferred or refunded.

How it Works:
Every student will have access to a private online portal with access to pertinent documentation, communications, and invoicing. This will aid us in maintaining records according to state guidelines.

About the Instructor

Erin Young

Erin has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 2002. It was through massage therapy that her passion for emotional and physical support blossomed. In 2008 she attended her first Doula training workshop. In 2012 she combined her massage practice with her doula work. She began writing curriculum and teaching other birth workers and massage therapists in her community. This led her to pursue certification in Childbirth Education in order to teach families. She is a respected entrepreneur in her community and is often invited to speak at childbirth classes as a guest speaker, co teach massage CEUs, and she is sought out for mentorship from other doulas. The work Erin has done as both a Massage therapist, doula, and a childbirth educator positions her to speak with confidence and firsthand knowledge of what is involved in supporting a pregnant person through most physiological and emotional changes that occur in pregnancy. Additionally, she is trained in postpartum mental health disorders, the physical needs of the parents and the infants as well as the emotional shifts that occur after birth. As an educator for the adult population, she has the ability to connect with different learning styles and methods which in turn communicates the information effectively and thoroughly.
